We were trying to delay starting Carter on solids until 6 months, but after three days of constant crying and grunting we decided he MUST be hungry. The way he was eyeing every bite we took and grabbing at our food was a pretty good indicator! The pictures are of his first try at solids. He was delighted by the rice cereal. He was opening his mouth wide between bites, kicking his legs with excitement, and grabbing the spoon to try to get it into his mouth. We just couldn't get it in there fast enough! Now he feels like the world of food has been opened up to him and tries to swipe at everything the girls are eating in hopes of getting a little taste.

I love that he was so delighted by rice cereal! It's so nice that he'll eat it without realizing how awful it really tastes. :) He is so cute!
What a cutie! Welcome to the world of solids...I'm already counting down until Maddox can feed himself. Will I ever be happy? I try to get McKinley to feed him, but she says his food smells stinky. It does, so I can't really blame her! I bet she'd feed Carter though...you know, cause he's cuter and all (hee hee!)
