Fall Soccer

This fall we had three kids in soccer which meant we spent every Saturday at the soccer fields.  I was thrilled when the final game was played, but the kids and John miss it.  They love soccer!
It was Matson's first season of soccer and he loved every minute!  He was more interested in chatting with friends and running around than trying to score a goal, but he sure had fun!  And he was past proud to have his very own soccer medal!  I loved watching him play.  Four year olds are adorable.

John coached Carter's team this fall.  They had fun going to practices and games together.  Carter is intense and driven on the soccer field (and in all aspects of life)!  He gets a bit disappointed when his team mates don't share his passion for the game-we are working on that.  :)  He has a strong leg and can kick the ball all the way across the field.  He scored a handful of goals and is great at defense.

Emily didn't make it to any practices (much to the disappointment of her coach) because our fall schedule was so crazy, but she is a good little player and scored several goals and was always trying to get the other girls to pass to her.  (They didn't really get that part of the game).  She plays best when her dad is on the sidelines yelling at her and cheering her on!

At the Pumpkin Patch 2014

Went to our favorite pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins and take pictures!  Kelsie (12) Emily (9) Carter (6) Matson (4) Tanner (6 mo).

September Highlights

Emily came home from school with a fish!  We now have three pets!  Aahh!
All the neighbor friends doing water painting!  My boys best friends are all girls!
Cutie boy took the longest nap of his life and was so peaceful I had to grab a picture.  Yes, he has a pink ballerina blanket from Emily.  It's his favorite blanket. :)
I was in charge of PTA Fitness Week at school.  We organized recess games which the kids loved!  Here is Carter, Will, and Matson playing Red Rover!
Another Fitness Week picture of Emily and friends playing Red Rover!  This was the best PTA thing I've been in charge of.  I loved hanging out with the kids.

Tanner is 5 months old and too big for his bouncy seat.  Every time I stick him in it, he wiggles right out and grins at me!
He's big enough to sit in his little car.  He looks SO big in it!
He's sitting up all alone (5 months) and so happy about it!  The blanket is his new favorite.  He picked it out himself at Target and screamed everytime we tried to put it back.  He's spoiled already.  :)
Matson's new haircut and "faux" hawk!  It's so cute but he won't let me keep it like that for long. :(

Crawling

He turned 7 months and started crawling that very day!

He's my earliest crawler and I was so sad.  He's growing up too fast.  But, he's so proud of himself!  You can't wipe that grin off his face!

Happy 10th Birthday!

Happy 10th Birthday to our cute Emily!  I can't believe she's 10 years old!  It just seems like yesterday she surprised us all by arriving three weeks early.  She has brought us so much happiness since then.  Emily loves gymnastics, singing, dancing, jumping rope, playing the computer, and playing school with her American Girl dolls.  She is a sweet, sensitive girl who is very aware of others feelings and is very thoughtful.  She is energetic and fun to be around.  She expresses herself best through writing and we can always find little notes and writing all around her room :).  Her little notes make my day!  We love you, Emily!  Stop growing up!

Pancakes and Pajamas

The morning after Halloween was Emily's friend party.  She invited four friends (and her sister) over for a pancake breakfast in pajamas!  They loved it and giggled all morning!
Afterwards we took them swimming at the legacy center.  There was NO ONE there that morning and they loved having the pool almost all to themselves.  They had a blast swimming and I had to pull them out of the pool after 3 hours!  It was a fun day with Emily's close friends and way less stressful than a party!

Happy Halloween 2014

 Happy Halloween!
 A witch
 A super adorable bull dog
A storm trooper
A BYU Cheerleader
 Batman

The boys went trick or treating with their friend Emmi and had a blast!  They ran the entire way and lapped the girls.  I kept thinking Matson's little legs would give out but he kept up with the big kids all night!
The girls went with their neighbor friends Lizzie, Reese, and Rory and had a great time running around the neighborhood on their own.  They did take note that their little brothers were moving a lot faster than them and they passed them by several times.  :)
And for round 2 of trick or treating, Kelsie and Emily's met up with some school friends to hit the other side of our neighborhood and a haunted "shed".  They had a great time!  It was a perfect Halloween.  Gorgeous weather, lots of fun with friends, and TONS of candy!

6 months old!

This cutie pie is 6 months old.  He is getting so big!  He sits up all on his own! He loves his toys and is in heaven now that he can sit up and play away.  He's the happiest little guy.  He grins at anyone who comes near him and makes everyone happy with his big, toothless grin.  He's not a big fan of sleeping.  He takes little cat naps during the day and wakes up ALL night long. :(  We are completely exhausted and are hoping we can get him sleeping soon.  He's just started eating solid food and he loves it all!  Can't believe he's been here half a year.  Time is flying by and we love this little guy to pieces!

Train Tracks

Matson was Looking through photo books during conference and saw this picture of him when he was 2 months.  He was quite upset when he saw it.  Then the girls started laughing at how sad he was in the picture.  He got very upset and said, it's not funny!  I didn't want to get run over by a train!"  Pretty funny!  Then he took the picture around to show us all the time he almost got hit by a train.  :)

5 months old

Tanner is 5 months old!  He is all smiles and is the happiest little guy!  He will grin at anyone that comes near him.  He loves to play with his toys, but his favorite toy is his feet!  It's super cute to watch him grab those little toes.  He also loves tags (just like Kelsie did) and is most interested in the tag on any toy and blanket and is delighted if he can get a tag into his mouth!

Moments with Matson

Matson was setting paper cups around the table so everything would be ready when the kids came home from school.  After setting them out he headed to get more cups.  I told him we had enough cups.   His reply: "I'm setting more out for the 2nd coming."  Laughing a little I asked, "what do you mean?".  He says, "for the 2nd coming when Jesus comes back and we all come alive again.  We are gonna need more cups!"

Of course!  Maybe he knows something I don't and he's certainly going to be prepared!

The next day he suddenly turned to me and said "you are a good mom" and have me a hug.
I wondered what I had done to receive such praise. He told me, "cause you filled up the sanitizer". :). It's the little things!  He is a sweet boy.

Summer Highlights

Kelsie and Emily went to Grandma Peterson's for an American Girl sleepover.  They made pillows and quilts for their doll beds they got for Christmas.  They also made doll flip flops and accessories.  They came home feeling very accomplished with ALL the things they made with grandma!
Brianna (Kelsie's BFF) came to visit and got to stay with us while her mom ran Ragnar up here.  Kelsie and Emily had the time of their lives with her, and the boys were past delighted to have Brianna back with us!  We all miss her and this was a highlight of the summer.  Just like old times!
Bowling with the cousins!
Someone is tired!  Aunt Michelle and Tanner fell asleep together and he slept longer than he's ever slept!  Love this picture of them totally konked out!
Happy 4th of July!
The cutie pie is getting bigger and loves to play with his toys and is super happy!!
Tanner and his monkey that Emily picked out for him.
Carter learned to ride a two wheeler and is officially free of training wheels! He's thrilled!  He learned super quick, once he decided he wanted to do it, and now he's riding all over the place.
Matson is obsessed by army guys and can spend HOURS playing with them.  He carries his bag of soldiers with him wherever he goes!
