Leprechauns

We've had leprechaun fever around here. About a week ago, Kelsie came home convinced there was a leprechaun in our toy room because some of the dollhouse furniture was overturned. She set up this trap, hoping to catch the little guy. It might not look like much, but I thought the Barbie armoire as leprechaun trap was especially fitting.

Only problem is...she has a one year old brother who has no respect for leprechaun traps and thought the containers looked better as a new hat for him!

Emily caught onto the fever and has been convinced there is a leprechaun out in the garden. She has been outside, with a magnifying glass, searching for one. The girls are still hoping to catch a leprechaun this year. Wish us luck!

That is sooo cute! My kids have been worried that a Leprechaun would come and mess up their room while they were at school. The first thing they did when they got home was go to their rooms to check. I am not sure I would mess up their rooms on purpose only to turn around and clean it up again! I thought about leaving a green treat for them but I didn't think about it soon enough to go to the store without children!! Oh, maybe next year! Your children and darling!!

i'm not sure i ever knew leprechauns messed things up---that one still puzzles me. i always thought they were just little guys to catch and get wishes from . . . i love the idea of a leprachaun trap with barbie furniture! :)

That's pretty funny. I can't believe how "in" to the leprechauns my kids have been. Corbyn is convinced that there was one in his school class because his trap was closed when he got to the school the next day - too funny.

Too cute! So this year when McKinley started talking about a leprechaun that hid something at her friends house I said to her, "you know there's no such thing as leprechaun's, right?" Um....dead silence. She just stared at me like I had just killed her pet! I don't even know why I said it, but I honestly didn't think she was seriously thinking they were real? I mean, come on! So now I can honestly say that I am that MEAN mother who kills all of her children's fun and imagination! Yikes!
